Amsterdam: Stephen Swaart(?), 1683. Coloured, with gold highlights. 325 x 190mm.

Highly decorative titlepage to a King James Bible, with full-length portraits of Moses & Aaron and a prospect of London after Visscher, surmounted with the Royal arms of Charles II.
The publisher was probably Stephen Swaart, who published the 1679 edition (the engraved date here is clearly altered). At the time Swaart was working with Moses Pitt and Jan Jansson van Waesbergen on the 'English Atlas', published in Oxford.
